Qualification
- The serving regular Professors/Associate Professors of the Institute who have distinguished themselves and have been recognized by their peers for their research and technology development, Industrial experience and who have excelled in teaching and service to the Institute/nation/profession can apply.
- Anyone with a track record of an outstanding teacher in the rank of Professor/Associate Professor would be eligible to be considered for “appointment” against the Dr. Hiralal and Patricia Fotedar Endowed Chair in Metallurgy, Materials Science and Engineering.

Honorarium
- The selected candidate will be paid Rs 25,000/- pm honorarium plus Rs. 1,00,000/- per annum as a contingency amount.
